1.Feature to facilitate teachers to input subjects taught for the current school year
If the school is using CloudSAMS for timetabling, the "Import Subject Data to e-Services Portal" feature can help teachers to input their subjects taught and the number of teaching periods for the current school year. The Master School Administrator can import the number of teaching periods from CloudSAMS to e-Services Portal, saving the time for re-entering the data.
Before importing subject data to e-Services Portal, the data file from CloudSAMS under "Extract Teaching Period for e-Services Portal" should be downloaded first. The file is a tab delimited text file (*.txt) containing information such as school number, school year, name of the teacher, identity card number, subjects taught, number of teaching periods, etc.
Then, in the School Desk left menu, click "Import and Export > Import Subject Data to e-Services Portal", click "Browse" to select the file downloaded from CloudSAMS and click "Next step: Perform File Checking".
File checking results will be shown in a separate page. Select the teaching records to be uploaded and click "Upload Selected Records to e-Services Portal".
After importing the data, the teacher concerned may log in to the Teacher Desk and click "Copy Subject from CloudSAMS" in the corresponding page. The number of teaching periods imported from CloudSAMS will be recorded in Teacher Profile. The teacher may review the information and make amendments, if necessary, before submitting it to school for verification.
